A new waterfall has popped up this year at the lazy river. It's touches like this that set Silverwood apart from most parks out there. They didn't have to do this, but they did.

Velocity Peak's tube slide now has a traffic-style safety lighting system. It wasn't being used yet.

A new dessert shop has opened this year at Boulder Beach. Nothing like sweets to compliment your figure while in a swim suit, right?

Spiral Spuds is another new food shop. These are becoming very common at theme parks across the country and, while not a particularly healthy choice, they are delicious!

Of course, the theme park also opened two new "family" rides this year. They are located near the entrance to Garfield's Summer Camp (we thought it odd that they didn't add these into Garfield's Summer Camp and wonder what the future of that area is?...) The two new rides are meant to give the park more for families to enjoy together.

Frog Hopper. Yes, you can find these at almost every carnival out there. And yes, they are still fun.

Butterflyer. This is a mini-Screamin' Swing and is just the right size for parents to enjoy with their kids. A fun addition, though we felt the ride cycle was a bit short.
