More torn up asphalt and concrete. It would seem that the days of Silverwood’s long-standing airstrip are numbered. We know it is no longer used by the general public...and we’re not even sure it is still being used for any aircraft at all. If you look beyond the rubble, you can see a lake and some landscaping that has appeared. More on that below.

More work equipment and in this area beyond the existing park. We know owner Gary Norton recently commented he’d like to see Silverwood double in size in the next 5-10 years. Will guests soon be walking in this area to check out new attractions?

You may remember this giant landscaped lake from last year, which separates the employee parking (former airstrip) from the owners houses. Lots more landscaping has been done this year.

It is very nicely done. Though we can't help but wonder, will the park ever stretch all the way out toward this lake?

Lots of earth being moved.

We'll wrap up with a photo of the sun setting on one of our favorites. Silverwood is doing some big things this year, and we have to believe the future looks great for our hometown theme park.
